Our Feedback
WOW! Martin is the BEST! He was my tour guide and what a wealth of information he shared on our tour. It’s one thing to have a command of historic events and key destinations, but it’s quite a gift when one can bring history to life! Martin has the gift! The pace of the tour was quite leisurely with lots of time for questions and discussion. I especially liked the “side stories and lore” of key people. If you’re visiting Newcastle, I highly recommend taking this tour at your first opportunity. It has made the rest of our stay so much more meaningful!
Very informative. Martin was an excellent tour guide who took the time to answer our questions thoroughly and in an interesting way. He clearly knew his stuff and the tour was pitched at the right level, including a well earned coffee in the historic market.
We booked this tour for something to do rather than the usual shopping etc and we were really glad we did. Very friendly and relaxed but informative.
Really enjoyed this tour of Newcastle. Martin’s deep knowledge of key figures and events in the city’s history, along with his obvious personal interest in and love of the place, made it a really pleasant afternoon. The pace was good and made what was quite a lot of walking very manageable (perhaps a little more time for letting people take photographs would be helpful, though) and the tour took in a wide variety of places of interest.
I would really recommend this tour, it was a good choice.
